Busy weekend

First Daddy gave all the kids haircuts, then Momma cut Daddy's hair.

Then we all cleaned the house. This is definitely the new world order.

Daddy would take a big and a little and clean a bathroom while I would take the other two and pick up/sweep/vacuum. Then he'd change bathrooms and we'd switch kids.

Mopping was definitely the favorite chore.

Everyone was so helpful that afterwards we took them all out for Hot Pot. Everyone ate super well and had great manners so we'll definitely do this again - perhaps a new tradition is born!

And is there a better restaurant than one with soft serve? I don't think so!

Park day with Nellises

We were supposed to have a beach day but it rained! We don't melt, so we still got to hang out and play with our friends.

Going on a hike with Liam and Henry. Liam's turning into quite the naturalist and was able to identify all sorts of plants for us.

Ellie is learning how to read :) Avy helped her out too.

Blackberry picking was so successful Daddy asked for a round 2 to make pies. We tried a different spot and it was just a wall of the juiciest, largest blackberries you've ever seen.

Ellie is definitely my daughter - we were being total completionists trying to get every ripe berry.

Getting back into the swing of it

I love having family over, and it's always weirdly quiet after they leave (not sure how that's possible). To cut the quiet we went blackberry picking!

I'm not sure Theo's container ever saw any blackberries - they went straight into his mouth.

Back at home, eating the spoils of our work

Aftwards I had them mop the floor because it was a disaster (best game ever apparently).

Avy reading to the littles.

The Aldridges are visiting!

I love this time of year! The kids (puppies) get run until they're plum tuckered out - I think Leo's enjoying it though.

Going to the park, everyone on the bikes!

Turns out Theo's got good hand-eye coordination - he was hitting almost every ball.

Mom and Dad went on a vacation! And oh boy, it was lovely. But you don't care about that, here's what the kids did:

Designed/colored pillows

Goofed off with Uncle Leo and Philip

Went shopping for alcohol (go Nana!)

Washed the car

Popsicles!

Played soccer

Read

Made blueberry muffins!

There was also swimming and blueberry picking, what a wonderful week.
