The last of May

Again, May was bu-sy. June's looking to be awesome as well already, we have Nana Aldridge and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Leo and Philip coming to visit! Plus Daddy will be on vacation that same time too. Very exciting :)

You can see when we started using this calendar. Good present from Daddy - we are now learning about days of the week! Avy even started pointing to the Wednesdays and telling me "This is when we go to the pool!" by herself. The blue pen might have been a prompt ;)

Since the girls' favorite song recently has been "Wheels on the bus", we took the kids to the library via bus. Uncle Alex went along, for which we were most grateful at the end!

Here we are, taking in the new transportation method! Our bus driver was most helpful and since it was an accessible bus the stroller was no problem.

After the library we walked down to Wendy's and got lunch and frosties.

Here we are waiting for the bus home! It turned out to not be accessible with three very steep stairs to board. Thankfully Alex was there to help hoist the stroller up and down. Definitely a thing to check for any future trips!

Daddy installed a hitch to our van for a bike rack! The girls often play grease monkey with him while he's working on bikes/cars so when I came up for a picture Ellie said "let me lie down first!"

...so she got herself oriented...

...and grabbed her tool to work on the van.

Tape measures man. Handy things!

Another instance of helping Daddy. Momma loves this in theory, but less so when kids roam the house unfettered ;)

May also marks our last month of nannies - much sadness! For Annah's last day we all went to the zoo, and Jessilee joined us for a few hours of fun. Here the girls are spotting penguins!

Getting help drinking from the fountain...

And getting a ride around the zoo.

We also found a cavernous tree that we could hide under with our friends!

Theo ate more strawberries!

Annah and Theo outside the bug house. Not their area of interest ;)

Popsicles for everyone after!

To close out the day, Annah had a special treat: nail polish! The girls each picked out their colors and got sparkles on top.

For Jessilee's last day the girls went to a giant indoor play area with slides, bouncing areas and lots of climbing. Lots of videos in the youtube channel!

Random shot of baby cuteness.

Feeding the babies carrots (not their favorite).

May was a busy month

May has been a full month for us! With birthdays and it being our last month for nannies, we've been out and about to many wonderful places!

Daddy smooching a Lily.

Birthday hairdos! Very elaborate :)

Nana Evers sent all the girls tutus! Lily is a fan...

Lily also likes bathing (thankfully).

Birthday cupcake at the park.

Random sweet Avy shot :)

Theo pre-doze.

The girls' birthday was a three day affair - Sunday when Dad was home, Monday with Annah and Tuesday with Jessilee! Here we went to the Museum of Flight in Seattle, where you get to climb all over different types of planes. Theo and Lily went with us but I have no pictures of them sadly.

My little adventurers.

Part of the overall museum was the attached Museum of Space. Among other things it had a replica spaceship you could walk into, and bottle rockets you could pump up and send shooting up to the ceiling. The girls liked this part ;)

Theo being a pal.

Took the family swimming! Annah's sister Caryn came with us to help with babies and do photoshoots :) Babies were both big fans - I was expecting 30 minutes at most of happy time for them, but they stayed in over an hour.
