Sleepy Sunday

After Saturday's excitement at the party, our Sunday was very slow and sleepy.

Monday promises to be exciting though!

Birthday party

Our friend Amy had her birthday at the indoor playground Funtastic Playnasium, and since it was on the weekend we decided to take everyone.

Lily sitting at the table with the big kids. She did great too, ate her whole lunch there. Theo's in my lap, happily munching on strawberries and blueberries.

Inside the playnasium they had air-powered guns for soft squishy balls. Theo discovered that pushing the button over and over made a cool noise. Cue the button getting pushed over and over ;)

A day at home

How our day sometimes goes. First we say goodbye to Daddy...

Then we play inside for awhile...

Then after breakfast, chores, and snacks we go outside for a while.

Then nap (not shown), dinner, and cleanup before bed!

Oh Lily

Lily has recently discovered that she can push/carry our stepstools from out of the bathroom to where ever she wants to climb in the rest of the house. Cue the hilarity:

Outdoor play!

When you can't find a stepstool....

Hard to tell from the picture but he was stacking blocks.

This is now how she tells me she's hungry: she pushes a bowl/stepstool over, climbs up, and "Ah!"s at me until I respond.

In fact, who needs a stepstool....

Avy sat down with one of the tracing pages I have for them. 20 minutes later...

Yep. She can go anywhere now.

Lily:
I got the babies up from their nap, Lily first, then put her on the floor to roam while I changed poopy Theo. Went into the living room and sat on the floor to play with the kids. Lily crawls up holding a clean diaper (no idea where she got it from), throws it into my lap and lies down in front of me. I'm putting her in charge next time I leave the house.

Theo:
I was sitting on the floor in the kitchen when Theo walks in holding two little board books. He tosses one on the floor in front of me, turns around and plops down into my lap, opens the book then turns his head to look at me. Waiting. Kid likes books.

The girls are starting to request TV episodes by season number and episode name ("Chilly Chuggers, season 2 Mom!").

Ellie: "Mom, when will the plums be ripe?"

Me: "Well it's winter now, it's too cold. They'll probably be ripe in summer."

Ellie: "Oh, so in season 5 then."

The sibling rivalry is starting to ramp up

Lily was sitting in the tupperware closet with the door open and Theo tries to join her. She gives him a massive shove and knocks him over. Does he cry? No. He gets up, looks at her for a second, then starts to close the door on her. She screeches, he stops and tries to join her again. She shoves him again with two hands, fully throwing him back against the opposite cabinet. So he immediately closes the door on her again.

Repeat 2x times. I was trying so hard not to laugh.
