Launch day!

We were super excited for the launch of SpaceX's Falcon Heavy (which went so well, oh my goodness, the excitement). Since launch got postponed for a couple hours, I put out a craft for the kids to kill some time. They decided to make rockets :D

Watching the launch live. The kids were fascinated, and Momma teared up a bit in the excitement :)

Getting along

I love this picture. You can't see anyone's faces and it doesn't matter. They really get along super well, I'm ridiculously blessed.

KidsQuest again - you can build cabins/towers/sculptures with these giant Lincoln Logs.

Unicorn fairy.

The hood is just overkill cute.

They're getting so big

And wonderfully independent. I was taking longer than normal to put together dinner so... they distracted themselves. The big girls helped get supplies for everyone and then they buckled down to building. I was almost sorry to feed them.

Theo really wanted to help with laundry so I gave him the basket to carry up, expecting to get it back. But no, all by himself. Tall kid.

At the park! Brrrr was it cold.

"Mom, my face is frozen."

Weekend joy

There's no sleeping in for poor Daddy.

Spider monkey!

It was quiet...

She's looking a bit like a Hindu goddess.

Two big girls bicycling around the block!

Affection :)

Brave/foolish Momma: we did a craft with baking soda and vinegar. I really should have taken a picture of the mess after, it was epic - baking soda was caked onto everything.

It's a full life

I've been collecting random things (cups, toilet paper rolls, pipe cleaners, etc) and letting the kids "build" with them. Here they were trying to make a catapult.

Dentist trip. Avy was very brave and volunteered happily to go first. She set the standard - everyone was super willing after. Good job Avy!

Ellie: "It tickles, Mom!"

Practicing our "Ahhh!"

Drawing and crafts at home.

Math: These are two cheap mirrors taped together that they can use to reflect their patterns - it's a very basic intro to angles and fractals. Symmetry is beautiful :)

Ellie just wanted to stack things - she made a forest!

KidsQuest

The rainy days finally wore me down - I bought our family a membership to the newly-relocated KidsQuest museum in downtown Bellevue. Getting there is no fun, but it's a guaranteed 3-4 hours of almost quiet time for Mom: the kids just scatter.

They have a new truck! This one is more modern.

They found the horn button. Too much fun.

Monkey! Ellie's at the top of a 3 story climbing structure.

Lily wants to join!

Ellie's coaxing Avy up - they did it! Great teamwork :)
