Theo doesn't like it when I use the restroom; kid has serious mommy attachment issues. So a lot of times I potty to the sound of his screams outside. Then one time I hear Ellie try to talk to me then give up because he's too loud.
I come out a few minutes later and Ellie runs up to me.
Ellie: "Mom, Avy needs your help pottying downstairs but I told her you were in the bathroom and I kept her company. I didn't tell you because Theo was too loud and I didn't want to frustrate you more while you were pottying."
Oh kid. I'm so keeping you.
