I took a gap month (catch up pt4)

It was a cozy-spot kinda day (look at all that rain out there).

So we built a pillow fort! Gotta clean the couches first though...

There was a lot of fighting between the big two girls, and Lily wasn't feeling well. Suddenly I realized I didn't know where Lily was. Found her curled up in one of the cozy spots with a book, hiding from the noise.

Art lessons! They drew caterpillars.

Sensory play with water beads. It made a bit of a mess but it was an hour of basically quiet time.

At our KidsQuest class - lots of activities that are super messy (so I don't have to clean, yay!)

At the park.

I took a gap month (catch up pt3)

I had stylists. Multiple.

Like father...

Theo was very put out when I told him he didn't have enough hair for a ponytail. So we made do.

Climbing at Kidsquest with our friend Patty.

Hi Dad!

I took a gap month (catch up pt2)

Family in a box!

The kids finally realized you could build train tracks and make the trains run on the tracks. They've been the favorite toy ever since.

Yea they all love swinging.

And we have some crazy climbers now.

The kids each have their own cheapo little measuring tape from Home Depot, and the big girls were measuring each of the track pieces, putting them together, adding them and measuring to see if the result matched their sums. Self-directed play - I love it!

They had made a restaurant.

Avy made a helmet so she could fight dragons.

We made inclined planes with toilet paper rolls and marbles, and talked about why the marbles rolled down.

We briefly flirted with the idea of doing away with the babies' cribs. Here the kids were getting used to the idea of sleeping on the floor. Ultimately Momma decided she was crazy and that she wasn't going to attempt any thing like this while Daddy was traveling (whew).

They're watching a window-washer.

Investigating a stream by the park.

I took a gap month (catch up pt1)

We've still been taking some pictures but mostly March was a blur of no sleep for me - something we're slowly figuring out. The major change for me? No more coffee. No. More. Coffee. -sob-

Needless to say, I don't remember March. Or really, the first bit of April either. But apparently I was still documenting it!

Ellie discovered the joys of static electricity:

Brace yourselves, I'm going to outright brag for a moment. Here's how a lot of mornings go now: Lily sweeps the floor:

And all four kids work to unload the dishwasher. Yep. I'm retiring.

Theo loves to make a cozy spot and read. Actually, all the kids do, even when it's sunshiney outside - look! Sun!

Theo gets a lot of this now. It's going to be a shock to the others when he fully finds his height ;)

I predict many many braids in their future.

Avy reading to Theo.

We had a game night with our cousins Michael, Diep and Evelyn so the kids and I made chocolate muffins for snack.

Lily definitely approves.
