Christmas vacation pt2

Christmas morning! We didn't do stockings this year at our house so everyone (especially the littles) were delighted. For the rest of the trip Theo would wander around the house asking, "st-king? stking?"

Chapstick is truly the greatest.

Present opening!

Christmas vacation pt1

I don't have a whole lot of Christmas vacation pictures; we spent a good chunk of the first week sick and sleep deprived sadly as Lily got hit by a occurrence of RSV. The kids had a blast though - infinite adults to read to them (Christian, they miss you so badly!) and hugs anywhere they turned.

I think this was my latte they were tasting.

Despite Lily's face, she had hers, Theo's, and asked for more.

Tall men are the best.

Daddy passed out for a nap; Avy gently covered him up.

Traveling!

I went into a flurry of cleaning the day before we left (I hate coming home to a dirty house). While vacuuming the steps the two littles were standing at the top watching me; they started to fight. Avy got up from her toys and gently inserted herself between them, holding their hands, kissing them, and taking care of them while I finished. Good girl!

And we're off! Ooh boy it's early - up at 4:30, out by 6. The kids were unsurprisingly delighted.

And on the plane!

This lasted two seconds.

Then we mostly let them climb around on us and run up and down the aisle.

Acrobat.

Yes, she's balancing between the seats.

I was happily snapping my pictures; this is the last before I realized someone was standing in front of Theo waiting to pass ;)

Would we do it again? Yes! It was remarkably easy; the girls played on their laptops the whole time and the babies alternated between running around and eating. It would have been better if they had napped, sure, but over all, very easy :)

Catch up pt3

Avy created her own game, complete with helmet for safety: she would use the pole to push the gears across the room trying to hit another specific toy. This quickly became a hit (ha ha) with the other kids... and then Mom had to stop it, sadly. It got a tad too enthusiastic ;)

I love big kids. I was changing a diaper and Ellie came asking me where her PJs were. I told her, dryer, go ahead and pull them out. I finished up and came out to find Ellie carefully using a spoon to scrap all of the lint out of the filter (she likes to keep her hands clean) after having put all the laundry in the basket. Good girl!

Best friends :)

She loves these socks.
