Ski Day 4

After Lily's repeated requests to learn to ski, I decided to buckle down and rent the littles both ski equipment. This could have been a disaster - for one, there are two of them. But with the help of a very kind gentleman who offered to document the occasion for me, I have pictures (and videos!) of the littles successfully skiing. And, oh my did they learn. This was a huge success, as you'll see in subsequent posts/videos.

Snacking while we wait for big kids to join us. Dad and the girls had split off from us to practice on green slopes so everyone would get good skiing in.

I had asked Avy, "What do you think would happen if you built different ramps?" Avy turned little scientist and ran experiments for over an hour, giving me her hypothesis each time. Here, she's speculating that because the second ramp (lower in the picture) has an angle in it, the car hits a "speed bump" that slows it down.

Ellie delighted in getting it to run through obstacle courses successfully.

Theo built a car display.

Avy experimenting why a longer ramp doesn't always result in a further distance.

We've been sick a lot, and we've eaten a lot of Cheerios in our illnesses. Dan likes Cheerios. There is now a special bond between anyone eating Cheerios and Dan.

She was water-dowsing with the world's biggest stick.
