We gave the eggs from this post about a week to simmer in vinegar (it looked like simmering with all the bubbles!) then pulled them out of the jars.
Both just had a chalky substance all over it that easily washed away when rinsed. All that was left of the raw was the thin membrane holding everything together!
Luckily a controlled break ;)
The hard-boiled one wasn't as hard-boiled as I'd meant it to be, but it still bounced very effectively for a while before splitting down the middle. The girls thought this part was the most fun; I had to caution them that not all eggs are bounceable!
