A quiet vacation

Dave and I took ourselves north a bit to Lake Riley and rented a tiny house for a few days. No cell reception, total quiet! It was lovely.

Playing a bit of tennis before reaching the cabin.

Teeny house!

It even came with a slide. Dave: "We should bring the kids next time!" Me: "...where would we put them??"

It was perfect. We brought lots of food and the cabin had plenty of amenities despite being so small.

The neighbors were very quiet too!

Our first day we took advantage of a local "rails to trails" program and bicycled 14 miles.

Our second day we went for an 11 mile hike to see some waterfalls. The trail was a bit precarious at places but well-kept.

Did I mention precarious?

Ways to freak out your husband: lean over a cliff to take a picture of the pool beneath.

Sitting on a natural bridge for a snack.

The end of the trail. We planned on relaxing here but the mosquitoes came out in full force so we hi-tailed it out of there.

The biggest waterfall. It looked tropical, it was so green.

Third day was sleep in, see Spiderman in theaters, then home again. A wonderful relaxing trip, thank you Nana and Uncles!
